The Mountain Kora’s story is alive and in person! With recent events at the Arcadian Shop and Onion River Sports we’ve been on the road! A huge shout out to the incredible ownership teams at both spots—Jeff Minkler, Chris Calvert, and Keith Dupuis at the Arcadian Shop and Jen and Kip Roberts at Onion River Sports. Their support was instrumental in creating evenings that were all about honoring our partner guides, sharing tales of adventure, and building connections that feel rare and meaningful in the age of Zoom. Lenox was beautiful with the foliage, while any time in Montpelier feels like an evening with friends.
These nights reminded me that the story of Mountain Kora is, at its core, the people. Our mission has always been about building bridges, and at these gatherings, I felt the barriers of distance and busyness dissolve as we came together over delicious Indian eats, raffle prizes, and shared stories of adventure from faraway places. With full rooms, it was wonderful to see familiar faces from past MK adventures, meet future travelers, and hear the incredible tales of others who live for exploration.
One thing that truly energized me was seeing a group forming for a 2025 traverse of the Bernese Oberland! This adventure marks a return to leadership from Jürg who has led past MK groups. In person, the laughter, shared stories, and sounds from afar brought renewed purpose to my work and reminded me why this dream is worth pursuing. Mountain Kora is a homespun startup dedicated to creating community through immersive travel.
Mountain Kora is actively seeking new venues to continue bringing people together around the spirit of adventure and partnership. If you have a space or know a place that would be a good fit, I’d love to hear from you! Connecting face-to-face has meant so much, and these evenings have inspired me knowing that this is just the beginning.
Looking forward to more stories, more laughter, and seeing you out there soon.
